HMS Sheffield Memorial on Sea Lion Island

The memorial for HMS Sheffield is situated on Sea Lion Island

The Memorial site is surrounded by a colony of "Rock Hopper" penguins

The Memorial is situated close to the Sea Lion Breeding Grounds

The Sheffield was sunk by an Exocet Missile 40 Miles South East of Sea Lion Island on the 4th May 1982
